Econommic Reasons

Since the British told the Tribal leaders to start collecting taxes, they were able to rule the nation with no troubles or problems. They wanted the citizens of Sudan to be uneducated so they banned them from going to school. They also had many common reasons to start colonizations. They wanted raw materials like gold, spices from natural, human or capital uses. As you know, Europe did not have a lot of resources so they would travel to other places. In Sudan, they grew a lot of cotton so they were able to sell and buy cotton. Sadly, the economy corrupted because of two bare cotton harvests.They also trade and start market. Colonization mostly started because they wanted to be rich or earn money.Or they wanted to gain power and rule. They mostly wanted to teach the citizens about Christianity.
